An ongoing gathering for practitioners grounding AI in human values.

Circle #2: What Are We Worth When AI Does the Work?

An honest conversation about livelihood, purpose, and what only humans can do.

Tuesday, November 10, 2026 · 12:30–2:00 PM PST · 10:30 AM–12:00 PM HST · 2:30–4:00 PM CST · 3:30–5:00 PM EST

When we asked our first circle where they feel AI’s impact most, work and income came out on top by a wide margin. Underneath that answer sit two tender questions. One is practical: how will we earn a living as AI takes on more of what we do? The other goes deeper: if a machine can do my work, what is my worth?

In this circle we’ll hold both. We’ll start with the real concerns about jobs, money, and purpose, and give them room before we look for anything hopeful. From there we’ll explore the capacities that may grow more valuable as AI spreads, including discernment, the wisdom it can grow into, and the healthy friction that helps us grow. We’ll also trade honest stories about how AI is already changing our own work.

You don’t need to be an optimist to come. Skeptics, worriers, builders, and the undecided are all welcome. The conversation gets richer when it holds the whole range.

Format: 90 minutes on Zoom, with grounding, small-group breakouts, and a short round of “how I’m actually using AI this month”

Hosts: Leif Hansen and Nadja Haldimann. Free. Space is limited to keep it intimate.
